New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the assignment of the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NITI Aayog to IAS Nidhi Chhibber (1994 batch).
Chibber is currently serving as Director General, Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office at NITI Aayog. She will take on the role following the completion of the tenure of IAS B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, who is set to retire. Chhiber will hold the additional charge until a regular incumbent is appointed or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The notification was issued by Manisha Saxena, Secretary, Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, and Establishment Officer.
NITI Aayog serves as India’s premier policy think tank. It plays a key role in shaping national development strategies, monitoring major government programmes, and promoting cooperative federalism. Chhibber’s appointment ensures leadership continuity at a critical time for the institution.
