West Bengal Govt Transfers 12 IAS Officers; IAS Anshul Gupta Made Municipal Commissioner, Kolkata Municipal Corporation

Kolkata: In a major administrative reshuffle ahead of the assembly elections, the West Bengal government has transferred 12 IAS officers, including IAS Anshul Gupta.

As per the official order, Gupta, currently the CEO of the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA), has been given the additional charge of the post of Municipal Commissioner, Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

Gupta has also been appointed as District Election Officer, Kolkata (North).

Gupta has previously served as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Government of West Bengal. He is an alumnus of the Institute of Technology, Benaras Hindu University.

IAS Sumit Gupta, currently the Municipal Commissioner, Kolkata Municipal Corporation, has been given the additional charge of DSDLRS West Bengal, District Election Officer, Kolkata (South).
IAS Shubham Maurya, posted as SDO, Khatra, Bankura, has been transferred and posted as SDO, Bongaon North 24 Parganas.
IAS Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director, West Bengal Small Industries Development Corporation Limited (WBSIDCL), has been appointed as the new District Magistrate of Nadia.
IAS Shewale Abhijit Tukaram, Special Secretary, Animal Resources Development Department, has been made the new District Magistrate of Alipurduar.
IAS Siyad N, who was the District Magistrate of Bankura, has been transferred and appointed DM of North 24 Parganas.
IAS Anish Das Gupta, who was holding the responsibility of Nadia District Magistrate, has been appointed the new DM of Bankura.
IAS Surendra Kumar Meena, District Magistrate, North Dinajpur, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer, Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority.
IAS Shantanu Bala, working as ADM, Cooch Behar, has been made the new ADM of Murshidabad.
IAS Srinivas Venkat Rao Patil has been made ADM of Bankura. He was the ADM of West Medinipur previously.
IAS Vivek Pankaj, working as SDO Raghunathpur Purulia, has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Fisheries, Aquaculture, Aquatic Resources, and Fisheries Harbour Development Department.
IAS Surabhi Singla, SDO Kharagpur West Medinipur, has been transferred and posted as the new SDO of Raghunathpur Purulia.
