Bhopal: Central Bank of India and Madhya Pradesh Police have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to roll out specialized salary accounts for police personnel under the ‘Cent Parakram’ Salary Account Scheme.
The agreement was formalized by Dheeraj Goel, Zonal Head (Bhopal) of Central Bank of India, and Imreen Shah, Assistant Inspector General of Police (Welfare), in the presence of Anil Kumar, Special Director General of Police (Welfare).
Under the partnership, Central Bank of India will offer customized banking services and financial benefits designed specifically for members of the Madhya Pradesh Police force. Through the Cent Parakram scheme, police personnel will gain access to enhanced salary account features, specialized banking facilities, and insurance coverage tailored to their professional requirements.
As part of the agreement, the Central Bank of India is expected to onboard nearly one lakh salary accounts for personnel associated with the Madhya Pradesh Police. The move will also help the bank expand its presence in the public sector salary account segment.
Officials said the initiative is expected to improve financial inclusion and make banking services more accessible and convenient for the police force across the state.
According to the bank, the Cent Parakram Salary Account offers several benefits, including customized banking solutions for police personnel, attractive insurance coverage, special financial privileges, and dedicated support services for members of the force.
By launching the Cent Parakram scheme, the bank aims to support the welfare and financial security of law enforcement officers while strengthening its salary account portfolio.
