Chennai, June 19 (APAC Media): IAS M. Sai Kumar will continue as Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary under the new government led by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay.
The decision signals the administration’s preference for continuity and experience over large scale bureaucratic changes.
Changes in government have often been followed by major bureaucratic reshuffles.
Senior officers in key positions frequently faced transfers, affecting continuity and creating uncertainty within the civil services.
The new Tamil Nadu administration, however, has chosen continuity over disruption.
Administrative observers say the move reflects a focus on experience, stability and governance, and could mark the beginning of a new political culture in the state.
