In the global market, gold prices traded lower during the day after a recent rally, as investors assessed inflation concerns and expectations surrounding the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate trajectory. Firm crude oil prices added to inflationary pressures, reducing the appeal of non-yielding assets such as gold and triggering profit-booking in overseas markets.

Silver prices also witnessed fluctuations, tracking movements in global commodity markets and industrial demand.
Analysts said the white metal is likely to remain sensitive to changes in manufacturing activity and broader macroeconomic conditions.
Despite short-term volatility, market participants believe gold could continue to receive support from safe-haven demand amid persistent geopolitical uncertainties and an uncertain global economic outlook.

Domestic demand is also expected to remain resilient, supported by seasonal buying and investment interest.
Bullion dealers said daily movements in international gold prices, currency fluctuations and domestic market trends are likely to keep retail gold and silver prices volatile in the coming sessions.
Consumers planning jewellery purchases have been advised to monitor daily rate revisions and compare prices across retailers before finalising their purchases.
