Noida, July 1 (APAC Media): Oil marketing companies (OMCs) on Wednesday slashed the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 183.50, offering relief to restaurants, hotels, caterers and other commercial establishments that depend on cooking gas for their daily operations.
With the latest revision, the retail price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has been reduced to Rs 2,930.
The revised rates came into effect on July 1 and will be applicable across the country, with prices varying slightly from city to city due to differences in local taxes and transportation costs.
OMCs have also reduced the price of the 5-kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder by Rs 13. Following the revision, the retail price of the cylinder in Delhi now stands at Rs 808.50.
The latest reduction comes after a series of upward revisions in commercial LPG prices earlier this year.

In April, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder was increased by Rs 195.50, while another hike of Rs 111 was implemented in January amid rising international fuel prices.
Meanwhile, there has been no change in the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder in the latest revision.
Nayara Energy has reduced fuel prices across its network of over 7,000 retail outlets in India. Petrol prices have been cut by ₹5 per litre, while diesel prices have been reduced by ₹3 per litre, offering relief to consumers amid fluctuating fuel costs.
Domestic LPG prices were last updated in June, when the retail price was increased by Rs 29 per cylinder in Delhi to Rs 942 from Rs 913.
Earlier, prices were raised by Rs 60 per cylinder in March.

The reduction in commercial LPG prices is expected to lower operating expenses for businesses, particularly in the hospitality and food service sectors, where cooking fuel is a significant input expense.
Industry stakeholders said the price cut would offer some relief to commercial establishments facing higher operational costs recently.
