New Delhi, July 1 (APAC Media): The Central Government has approved the empanelment of IAS Saurabh Kumar for holding Joint Secretary or equivalent level posts in the Government of India.
The approval was granted through separate orders issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
He was earlier not part of the list when the 2009 batch IAS officers were considered for Joint Secretary-level roles.
With this decision, he is now eligible for senior-level postings across various Central Government ministries and departments.
Saurabh Kumar is currently on Central deputation, serving as Director in the Department of Revenue.
He was appointed to this post in June 2025 under the Central Staffing Scheme for a tenure of five years.
His experience at the Centre is expected to further strengthen his profile for future senior policy-making roles.
