New Delhi, July 14 (APAC Media): The University of Delhi (DU) and the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), under the Government of India’s Ministry of Home Affairs, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday.
The signing took place at the Council Room, Vice Regal Lodge, University of Delhi, with the goal of collaborating on cybercrime prevention, cyber hygiene, cyber awareness, and capacity building.
The agreement also focuses on academic engagement, research, internships, and student participation.
The MoU was formalised by Dr. Vikas Gupta, Registrar of the University of Delhi, and Shri Nishant Kumar, Director of I4C, Ministry of Home Affairs.
The collaboration was driven by the initiative of Prof. Sanjeev Singh, and the signing event was attended by Prof. K. Ratnabali along with senior officials from both DU and I4C.
This partnership aims to establish a cyber-aware academic ecosystem through joint efforts such as:
Awareness programmes, workshops, and seminars
Hackathons and student competitions
Internships and cyber volunteer engagement
The promotion of UGC-notified cyber security courses
The joint venture will encourage knowledge sharing and boost cooperation between academia and the government to advance cybersecurity education and digital resilience.
Both institutions highlighted that this collaboration reflects their shared commitment to establishing a secure, resilient, and digitally responsible society through continuous awareness, innovation, and capacity building.
