New Delhi, August 19(APAC Media): The MCC has postponed the NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result to August 21.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) revised the Round 1 schedule on August 19, changing the result date from the earlier timeline. The revised schedule applies to admissions through the 15% All India Quota (AIQ), along with 100% seats in Deemed Universities, Central Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER and AFMC for MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing courses.

Under the latest schedule, MCC will process seat allotments on August 19 and 20. The NEET UG Round 1 seat allotment result will be published on August 21. Candidates can check the allotment status through the official MCC counselling portal once the result is released.
Choice filling for Round 1 was scheduled to continue until 11:59 PM on August 18, while choice locking was available from August 17. The revised timeline follows multiple changes to the counselling schedule in August.
MCC Counselling 2026: What Happens After Allotment
Candidates who receive a seat in Round 1 will have to report to their allotted institute and complete the admission process between August 22 and August 31. Colleges will then verify the details of joined candidates on September 1.
The revised schedule also covers the state counselling timeline. State authorities are required to verify joined candidates’ data before sharing it with MCC for further seat processing.
NEET UG Counselling Schedule 2026
MCC has also directed participating medical colleges and institutes to treat Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted holidays as working days during the counselling period. The move is intended to keep admissions on schedule within the limited counselling window.
Candidates waiting for the NEET UG Round 1 result should rely on the latest schedule available on the official MCC website rather than earlier counselling dates. MCC has confirmed that a revised Round 1 schedule has been uploaded on its UG counselling portal.
