New Delhi, August 3(APAC Media): The all-new Bajaj Pulsar 125 has been spotted at a dealership ahead of its official launch on August 12, revealing major updates to its design, chassis and features. The new model is expected to replace the current version with a more modern package in the highly competitive 125cc motorcycle segment.
Spy images show that the motorcycle gets a completely redesigned body while retaining signature Pulsar styling elements such as the sharp headlamp design and muscular fuel tank. It features an LED headlight with wolf-eye position lamps, new tank shrouds, a slimmer rear section and split LED tail lamps. However, the bike continues to use halogen turn indicators.
The biggest mechanical change appears to be a new tubular steel frame paired with telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock suspension. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, while braking is handled by a front disc and rear drum setup.
The spotted motorcycle also appears to use a newly developed engine, based on the revised engine casing and exhaust layout. While Bajaj has not revealed specifications, the bike is expected to focus on better city performance, improved refinement and competitive fuel efficiency.
The new Bajaj Pulsar 125 is likely to get a colour LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. It will compete with models such as the TVS Raider, Hero Xtreme 125R and Honda Shine. Industry estimates suggest the motorcycle could be priced between Rs 80,000 and Rs 85,000 (ex-showroom) when it is launched on August 12.
