New Delhi, August 3(APAC Media): Prashant Singh has taken charge as the Chief Executive Officer of ONGC Green Limited. The appointment marks a leadership change at ONGC’s renewable energy arm as the state-owned energy company continues to expand its presence in clean energy and low-carbon businesses.
ONGC Green Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and is responsible for driving the company’s renewable energy initiatives. As CEO, Prashant Singh will oversee projects related to clean energy while supporting ONGC’s broader energy transition strategy, including investments in low-carbon technologies.
Before this appointment, Singh served as Group General Manager and Head of New Energy at ONGC, where he led initiatives in green hydrogen, carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS), and geothermal energy. His latest role comes as ONGC increases its focus on diversifying beyond conventional oil and gas.
Singh has more than 30 years of experience across drilling operations, mechanical engineering, and new energy businesses. During his career at ONGC, he held several senior leadership positions, including Chief General Manager (Mechanical), General Manager (Mechanical), Deputy General Manager, Chief Engineer, and Deputy Superintendent Engineer (Mechanical). He is also a board member at Ayana Renewable Power and Pawan Hans Ltd.
