New Delhi, September 21(APAC Media): Tata Motors will unveil the new Aeris sedan on September 25, 2026. The new compact sedan is expected to replace the Tata Tigor and compete with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze.
Tata Aeris Design And Launch
Tata Motors has confirmed the Aeris name through its latest teaser. The teaser shows a new indigo exterior colour and hints at major styling changes. The new sedan is expected to get a redesigned front end, updated headlamps, a revised grille and new alloy wheels.
The Aeris is expected to use a similar compact-sedan layout as the Tigor but with a substantially updated exterior and interior. Tata has not yet revealed the complete design or specifications.
Tata Aeris Features And Engine
The cabin could get a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. Other expected features include wireless charging, automatic climate control, cruise control and wireless smartphone connectivity.
The petrol and CNG engine options are expected to continue, although Tata Motors has not confirmed the powertrain details yet. Safety features could include six airbags, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring and a 360-degree camera.
Tata Aeris Price And Competition
The Tata Aeris is expected to be positioned in the ₹6 lakh to ₹10 lakh price range, ex-showroom. Tata Motors is yet to announce the official price.
The launch comes as Tata looks to strengthen its presence in the compact sedan segment. The Tigor recorded 862 units in sales in August 2026, while the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze recorded higher monthly volumes.
Tata Motors could also introduce an electric version of the Aeris in the future, but there is no official confirmation yet. More details on the Aeris, including its price, variants and specifications, are expected around the September 25 unveiling.
