New Delhi, September 21(APAC Media): Samsung has started rolling out One UI 9 to the Galaxy S26 series. The update brings Android 17, new Galaxy AI features and additional security tools to Samsung’s latest flagship smartphones.
Samsung One UI 9 Update
The One UI 9 rollout began on September 16 for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung will expand the update to more Galaxy devices in phases, with availability depending on the market and carrier.
The update is also coming to the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8. The Galaxy S26 FE, recently launched in India, ships with One UI 9 already installed.
New Galaxy AI Features
One UI 9 adds several AI-based features to Samsung’s existing tools. My FanCam can track a selected person in a recorded video and keep the subject in focus. The feature is aimed at videos recorded at events, performances and sports activities.
Samsung has also updated Now Brief with customisable cards. Now Nudge can provide context-based actions while users are using supported apps, such as saving information shared in conversations.
Security Features
Security is another focus of the update. One UI 9 introduces Security Brief and new privacy alerts designed to warn users about potential risks, including unusual app activity and permission requests.
Samsung has also added a Warranty and Care section to Settings. It brings warranty details, device diagnostics, repair information and Samsung Care+ management into one place.
One UI 9 Rollout
Samsung has not shared a single rollout date for all eligible Galaxy devices. The company is expected to expand One UI 9 to additional smartphones and tablets over the coming weeks.
