London: At last, hope for the world for corona vaccine. UK based medical journal ‘Lancet’ claims that the vaccine developed by the Oxford University has passed the first phase of trial. It is ‘safe, well-tolerated and immunogenic,’ claimed the magazine publishing the result of the initial result on vaccine on Monday.
But will it be available by early next year for mass use? UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson could not give any assurance on that.
The newly developed vaccine is now in the final stage of clinical trial. It has been tested on 9000 people in UK and also in Brazil. Now it will be tested in wider base of population in various other countries.’ You can say, first hurdle has been passed. As expected, we have found positive results on immunity after the vaccine has been tested,’ said Andrew Polard, head of vaccine department in Oxford University.
