The Haryana government has appointed PC Meena as the new commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) and also named him as officer on-special-duty to the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA). Meena was serving as managing director, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) and had also served in several key posts in the city.
Mukesh Kumar Ahuja, the erstwhile MCG commissioner has been appointed as chief administrator, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board and managing director of Haryana Medical Services Corporation Ltd.
Meena earlier served in Gurugram as deputy commissioner from 2011 to 2013. He also served as MCG commissioner in the second half of 2013, and was thereafter appointed as administrator, Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), Gurugram, till the middle of 2014.
In his latest stint as DHBVN managing director, Meena worked to resolve several issues pertaining to electricity connections of various residents’ welfare associations (RWAs) across the city.
Meanwhile, in another key appointment, Amit Khatri, who had earlier served as the deputy commissioner of Gurugram, was appointed as managing director, DHBVN.
They were part of a Haryana government reshuffle whereby nine IAS and 10 HCS officers were transfered with immediate effect.
Ripudaman Singh Dhillon, Director, Social Justice and Empowerment; Director, Welfare of SCs and Backward Classes; has been given additional charge of Secretary, Haryana State Commission for Scheduled Cases.

Prabhjot Singh, Mission Director, National Health Mission, has been given the charge of Director, Employment, and Director, Skill Development and Industrial Training, in addition to his present duties.
Rajnarayan Kaushik, Chief Administrator, HSAMB, and MD, HMSCL, has been appointed as MD, UHBVN, and MD, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited.
IAS officer Amit Khatri has been appointed as MD, DHBVN, and Director, Archaeology and Museums.
