MUZAFFARNAGAR: The district administration has launched a mobile application ‘Jan Shikayat Muzaffarnagar’ for the redressal of public grievances in rural areas. The app was inaugurated by the chief development officer (CDO) Sandeep Bhagia.
According to the CDO, through this app, the complainant can contact the tehsil, block, and gram panchayat regarding any problem related to water logging, street repairs, farming land, etc. Based on the complaint, the concerned authority will have to resolve the issue within a week, or else a notification will go to higher officials who will then look into the matter.
Sandeep Bhagia said, “Keeping in view the priority given by the Chief Minister to solve public grievances and strengthen village secretariats, the mobile app was developed. The app can be downloaded from Play Store or from the NIC website of Muzaffarnagar district.”
“To smoothen the process and ensure no one is misled, the app will share the live location of the complainant and the concerned officer. This feature would assist the officers to reach the place of the complaint for inspection, and automatically record the visit,” he added.
