New Delhi: IG Drones, a drone technology firm of India, has entered into a partnership with iGiS, a Korean company specialising in geospatial information-based drone solutions. This announcement was made at the prestigious North Star GITEX Global event.
IG Drones is a provider of enterprise drone solutions in India, with a focus on surveying, mapping, and inspections. They have collaborated with multiple state governments, 30 major public sector enterprises (PSUs), and multinational corporations (MNCs), successfully completing over 500 projects. Headquartered in Delhi, IG Drones is actively pursuing global expansion.
On the other hand, iGiS is an ICT company with expertise in geospatial information and drone solutions, catering to both public and private sectors. Their solutions are being adopted in countries such as the United States, Vietnam, Australia, and various South Asian nations.
During the second day of the 2023 Expand North Star event at Dubai Harbor, which is the world’s largest startup gathering, the Co-founder & CTO of IG Drones, Sambit Prasad Parida, and the CTO and Vice President of iGiS, Hudong Lee, officially signed the agreement.
IG Drones and iGiS have established a partnership through a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration is aimed at capitalising on their respective strengths for mutual growth in India and around the world.
Key elements of the MOU include shared office spaces to enhance operational efficiency and support from iGiS for IG Drones’ expansion in South Asian markets. Moreover, a global co-expansion model has been outlined, where both companies will pool their resources and expertise to expand internationally.
This partnership has the potential to transform the UAV industry and business solutions sector, creating new opportunities. iGiS is recognised for its ground monitoring systems and pioneering command centres for defence and disaster management across various applications.
IG Drones is at the forefront of India’s rise as a drone technology hub, offering innovative solutions and groundbreaking advancements. Their revolutionary 5G Drone, the IG Drones Skyhawk, has set new standards and is in service for major multinational corporations and the Indian government.
Sambit Prasad Parida, Co-founder & CTO of IG Drones, emphasised that this international partnership will expand IG Drone’s presence in the global market and showcase Made-In-India drone technology solutions on a worldwide stage.
