New Delhi: Air India announced on Monday that it has strengthened its domestic and international distribution networks through extended multi-year agreements with global distribution systems partners Amadeus, Sabre, and Travelport.
The combined agreements empower travel agents, resellers, and corporations worldwide to access Air India’s seat availability and pricing.
Air India’s expanded partnerships with the GDS providers now encompass the provision of New Distribution Capability (NDC) products, offering travellers advantages such as personalised pricing, appealing fare packages, and additional ancillary services, the company conveyed in an official statement.
These agreements with Amadeus and Sabre have been broadened to encompass not only domestic content but also the distribution and servicing of NDC content.
This move comes after Tata Group assumed control of the loss-making Air India in January of the previous year, and the airline is currently undergoing a transformation plan.
