Mumbai: The Maharashtra state government recently declared the transfer and posting of numerous high-ranking Indian Administrative Service (IAS) personnel in a substantial administrative overhaul.
This strategic initiative aims to enhance administrative efficiency and address the state’s needs more effectively. The following key appointments have been made:
1. IAS officer Asheesh Sharma, former Principal Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, has been appointed the Commissioner of State Tax (Goods and Services Tax) in Mumbai. His experience is anticipated to contribute to the efficient implementation of tax policies in the state capital.
2. IAS officer Pravin Puri, who was formerly serving as the Joint Secretary in the Water Supply and Sanitation Department, has been reassigned in Persons with Disabilities in Pune as their Commissioner, highlighting the government’s dedication to addressing the needs and rights of people with disabilities.
3. IAS officer Deepak Taware, currently serving as the Chief Managing Director of the Maharashtra State Warehousing Corporation in Pune, has been posted as the Commissioner for the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme, in a bid to utilise his expertise to manage employee welfare and insurance programs effectively.
4. IAS officer Vikas Pansare, who was posted as the head of the Ahmednagar district caste verification panel, will now be serving as the Additional Divisional Commissioner in the Konkan Division, to manage regional development and administrative priorities.
5. IAS officer Aman Mittal, previously serving as the Managing Director of the Maharashtra Petrochemicals Corporation, has been reassigned as the Deputy Secretary in the Water Supply and Sanitation Department, providing his experience to ensure access to clean water and sanitation services.
6. IAS officer Dr. Bhausaheb Dangade, of the 2011 batch, is now the Managing Director of the Maharashtra Petrochemicals Corporation Limited in Mumbai, expected to lead the corporation to new heights of success.
7. IAS officer Shridhar Dube, of the 2014 batch, has been posted as the Managing Director of the Maharashtra State Co-operative Marketing Federation in Mumbai, highlighting the importance of cooperative marketing in the state.
8. IAS officer Dr. Indurani Jakhar, of the 2016 batch, has been posted as the Municipal Commissioner of the Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation in Kalyan. She will be ensuring effective municipal governance in the region.
