New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) appointed senior IPS officer Jitendra Singh Meena as its Deputy Inspector General (DIG). An officer of the 2007 IPS batch from the Chhattisgarh cadre, Meena’s tenure at the CBI is set for a duration of five years.
Four other officers were appointed as Superintendents of Police (SPs) within the CBI, each for a term of five years. The names of the officers are as follows:
- IPS Vinayak Verma (Madhya Pradesh cadre)
- IPS Achal Tyagi (Gujarat cadre)
- IPS Praveen Kumar (Gujarat cadre)
IRS Gaurav Mittal, an officer from the Indian Revenue Service, will assume the role of SP for a period of four years.
