New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the date sheets for the Class 10 and 12 board exams slated for 2024. The exams for both the classes are set to commence on February 15, 2024.
According to CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj, Class 12 board exams will run from February 15 to April 2, 2024, while Class 10 exams are scheduled from February 15 to March 13.
The board has taken care to provide adequate intervals between successive subjects, considering the Class 12 exam schedule in alignment with competitive exams such as the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). Over 40,000 subject combinations were avoided to ensure that no student has to appear for two exams within a day.
In the previous year, the overall pass percentage for Class 10 was 93.12%, with 20,167,79 out of 21,658,05 candidates passing the exam. However, Class 12 had an overall pass percentage of 87.33%, and the Trivandrum district secured the top position with a 99.91% pass percentage.
Last year, a total of 16.9 lakh candidates registered for the Class 12 board exams, comprising 7.4 lakh female students and 9.51 lakh male candidates. Details about the date sheets are now available on the board’s official website, https://www.cbse.gov.in/.
