Bengaluru: Edtech company Byju’s announced CEO Arjun Mohan’s resignation on April 15 as part of a major organisational restructuring. Byju’s founder Raveendran will now lead daily operations.
After a review spanning seven months and cost-saving efforts overseen by departing CEO Arjun Mohan, the restructuring is underway. The company released a statement saying, “Mohan will now transition to an external advisory role, lending his deep edtech expertise to the company and its founders during this transformation phase.”
Raveendran said, “This reorganisation marks the start of BYJU’S 3.0 – a leaner and more agile organisation ready to quickly adapt to evolving market dynamics, especially in the realm of hyper-personalised education.” The company also revealed plans to consolidate its operations into three distinct divisions: The Learning App, Online Classes and Tuition Centres, and Test-prep.
