Gurugram: ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Ltd. has announced the appointment of Dr Debabrata Dash as the Head of Human Resources for Eastern India. Dr Dash brings with him 28 years of extensive HR experience in prominent organizations, including Tata Steel and Tata Motors. Prior to joining ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India, he held the position of Group Vice President – HR and Admin at MSPL Limited.
Throughout his career, Dr Dash has been involved in implementing business-centric policies and processes, undertaking change management initiatives, and driving cultural transformations and organizational development interventions. His tenure at Tata Steel notably included successfully managing the merger of all project units and designing the organizational structure for the Engineering and Project divisions.
Dr Dash holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Utkal University and completed his Postgraduate Degree from Xavier Institute of Management. His appointment aligns with ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India’s plan to strengthen its HR leadership in the eastern region as it continues to expand its operations and influence in the steel industry.
