Raipur: The Indian Institute of Raipur (IIM Raipur) and Birmingham City University (BCU) have announced a strategic partnership to enhance collaboration in academic and research endeavors. The partnership aims to boost teaching and research capabilities across both institutions by introducing initiatives that will benefit teachers, students, and the academic community as a whole.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Professor Ram Kumar Kakani, Director, IIM Raipur, and Professor Eileen McAuliffe, pro-vice-chancellor and executive dean, Birmingham City University. As per the agreement, the initiatives will include academic exchanges, and faculty and staff collaborations to enhance research, teaching methods, and professional development. Students will get an opportunity to study abroad under the exchange programs and gain international exposure to expand their perspectives and skills. In addition, the institutions will also organize lectures, seminars, and conferences, and share academic resources to promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
Professor Ram Kumar Kakani, reflecting on the significance of the partnership said that it will create dynamic opportunities for students and teachers, enhance the global presence of IIM Raipur, and provide opportunities for innovation. Dr. Shishank, Associate Professor at BCU further stated that the partnership will foster global collaboration in the academia and create new opportunities for research, teaching, and student engagement.
