New Delhi: The Government of India has appointed Manoj Govil as the new Secretary of the Department of Expenditure in the Ministry of Finance. Govil, an IAS officer, was previously serving as the Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
In his new role, Govil will oversee the allocation and management of government resources, playing a key role in supporting India’s fiscal policies and public finance reforms. His appointment is part of a broader bureaucratic reshuffle announced by the government.
Govil’s extensive experience in managing financial matters and public policy is expected to contribute significantly to the Department of Expenditure’s efforts to optimize the country’s fiscal strategies.
