New Delhi: BT Group’s Digital Unit has launched the GenAI Gateway, a platform designed to streamline the use of generative AI across its operations. Developed in partnership with AWS, the platform aims to ensure secure access to large language models (LLMs) from multiple providers, including Meta, Anthropic, and Amazon.
The GenAI Gateway offers features such as central privacy controls, prompt security, and billing by use case, allowing the company to better manage cost, security, and model performance as it scales AI adoption. Built with safeguards to monitor risks and data security breaches, the platform supports various internal applications while maintaining regulatory compliance.
BT Group’s engineers can now choose the best AI model for specific tasks, with reduced duplication of resources and effort. The platform’s initial use cases include Openreach’s automation of engineering notes and contract analysis for business and legal teams. This approach is intended to drive efficiency while maintaining flexibility in AI deployment.
By consolidating generative AI use, BT Group seeks to balance innovation with ethical considerations, aligning the platform’s development with its broader digital transformation goals.
