New Delhi: Shivendra Shukla has been appointed as the Additional Director (Part-time Government Director) on the IRCTC Board. He currently holds the position of Executive Director (Passenger Marketing) on the Railway Board. The Ministry of Railways has issued a notice regarding his new role where he will serve until he holds the post of Executive Director or until further orders from the ministry.
Shukla is an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) Officer from the 1988 batch. He has a diverse career experience in the Indian Railways spanning over 25 years. Throughout his professional journey, he has held various leadership positions across several regions, including the Northern Railway, North Eastern Railway, East Central Railway, and in the Indian Railways Institute of Transportation Management. Before becoming the Executive Director (Passenger Marketing), he was posted as the Additional Divisional Railway Manager in Lucknow (Northern Railway).
An alumni of IIT Kanpur, Shukla holds a BTech and MTech degree, in addition to a Postgraduate degree in Public Policy Management from IIM Ahmedabad.
