Bengaluru: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has appointed Barenya Senapati as its new Director (Finance). With 31 years of experience in finance and 29 years at HAL, Senapati has held various roles in the company since joining in 1995.
Before this appointment, he was Executive Director (Finance) at HAL’s corporate office, where he handled finance-related functions, including accounts and treasury. He also played a part in HAL securing Maharatna status and in negotiating contracts for aircraft and helicopter supplies. Senapati also helped finalize pricing for repair and overhaul services, a key revenue source for the company.
Senapati steps into his new role at a critical time as HAL continues to grow and strengthen its position in the defense sector.
