Shimla: The Government of Himachal Pradesh has announced the transfer and fresh postings of eight Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and one Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer. As per the official orders, IAS Rakesh Kumar Prajapati (2012 batch) has been appointed as the new Director of Energy. He currently serves as the Director of Industries.
Apart from him, other transferred IAS Officers include:
IAS Manasi Sahay Thakur (2009 batch) has been assigned the role of Labour Commissioner-cum-Director of Employment, Shimla. She previously held the position of Director of Tourism and Civil Aviation.
IAS Yunus (2010 batch), currently the Commissioner of State Taxes and Excise, has been given the role of Director of Industries replacing IAS Rakesh Kumar. He will also continue serving in his current position.
IAS Vivek Bhatia (2011 batch), presently serving as the Principal Private Secretary-cum-Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been given an additional charge as Director of Tourism and Civil Aviation along with the role of Director, Youth Services and Sports.
IAS Gopal Chand (2011 batch) has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer-cum-Managing Director of Shimla Smart City Ltd. He currently serves as the Director of Urban Development.
IAS Harikesh Meena (2012 batch), who last served as the Director of Energy, has been assigned the role of Managing Director of HP Power Corporation Ltd., Shimla.
IAS Rupali Thakur (2014 batch), presently Director of the Women and Child Development Department, will now serve as the Director of the HP Institute of Public Administration, Shimla.
IAS Nivedita Negi (2017 batch) has been appointed as the Secretary of HP Public Service Commission, Shimla
Besides the above-listed IAS transfers, IFS Neeraj Kumar (2011 batch), previously the Conservator of Forests in Rampur, has been transferred and posted as Director of Urban Development.
