New Delhi: IndianOil is teaming up with EverEnviro Resource Management Pvt. Ltd. to launch a new joint venture focused on biofuels. The 50:50 partnership will work on converting organic waste into Compressed Biogas (CBG), aiming to provide a cleaner energy source and cut down on greenhouse gas emissions.
The agreement was signed in Mumbai by executives from both companies, including IndianOil’s Dr. Santanu Gupta and EverEnviro’s Mahesh Girdhar. This joint venture plans to roll out CBG plants nationwide, which could help reduce dependence on fossil fuels and support rural job creation.
IndianOil’s focus on biofuels is part of its larger goal to reach Net Zero by 2046, and this project ties into India’s broader energy transition plans for 2070. By using CBG, the venture hopes to offer a more sustainable fuel option for the country while tapping into local resources to boost energy security and rural economies.
