Chennai: Sify Technologies has appointed Padmaja Chunduru to its board of directors. Chunduru, an experienced banker, brings with her a track record of leading major financial mergers and driving tech innovations in India’s banking sector.
Chunduru’s career includes roles as the former MD and CEO of Indian Bank, where she handled the complex merger with Allahabad Bank. She also led the National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL), where she launched a blockchain platform for tracking corporate debt.
In her new role, Chunduru is expected to support Sify’s digital growth. She commented on the appointment, saying she looks forward to helping Sify continue its digital transformation efforts.
Chairman Raju Vegesna said that Chunduru’s experience in corporate governance and financial technology would be valuable as Sify expands its services in cloud, data centers, and security.
Sify Technologies, based in Chennai, provides ICT services to businesses across India and internationally, with a focus on cloud, networking, and digital services.
