Noida, Sep 21 (APAC Media): Gold prices declined nearly 0.5% in early trade on Monday, while silver prices also fell in the domestic futures market, as investors monitored geopolitical developments and global economic uncertainty.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures for October 5 were trading at ₹153,870 per 10 grams around 9:05 am. Silver futures for December 4 were down 0.39% at ₹240,663 per kg.
In the retail market, 24-karat gold was quoted at ₹154,530 per 10 grams, while 22-karat gold stood at ₹141,653 per 10 grams, according to data cited from the Indian Bullion Association.

Silver of 999 fineness was priced at ₹240,640 per kg, the data showed.
Gold and silver rates varied across major Indian cities. In Mumbai, 24K gold was quoted at ₹1,54,250 per 10 grams and 22K gold at ₹1,41,396, while silver stood at ₹2,40,200 per kg.
In Delhi, 24K gold was priced at ₹153,960 per 10 grams and 22K gold at ₹141,130. Silver was quoted at ₹239,970 per kg.
Bengaluru recorded 24K and 22K gold prices of ₹154,350 and ₹141,488 per 10 grams, respectively. Silver was priced at ₹240,580 per kg.

Hyderabad reported 24K gold at ₹154,470 per 10 grams and 22K gold at ₹141,598. Silver was quoted at ₹240,770 per kg.
In Chennai, 24K gold was priced at ₹154,670 per 10 grams and 22K gold at ₹141,781. Silver stood at ₹241,090 per kg.
