New Delhi, Sep 21(APAC Media): Zurich Kotak General Insurance has introduced a digital insurance platform for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), bringing several insurance processes under one interface.
Digital Insurance For SMEs
The new proposition uses Zurich’s Zurich Edge technology platform to support the SME insurance journey, including quotations, policy purchase, servicing, referrals and underwriting.
The platform is linked to Business Secure Plus, a bundled insurance offering that allows SMEs to manage coverage for different business risks through a single proposition. Zurich Kotak said businesses can receive customised coverage and premiums based on their risk profiles.
Business Insurance Coverage
Business Secure Plus covers risks such as fire and special perils, burglary and housebreaking, electronic equipment, machinery breakdown, money and employee compensation. It also includes Fidelity Guarantee and Directors and Officers Liability coverage, subject to applicable policy terms and conditions.
The insurer plans to expand the platform with additional products, covers and risk solutions as part of its SME insurance offering.
Zurich Kotak’s SME Insurance Strategy
Birendra Mohanty, Chief Business Officer, Zurich Kotak General Insurance, said the company is focusing on making SME insurance easier to access, customise and manage through digital technology.
The move comes as insurers increasingly shift commercial insurance processes online. For SMEs, digital platforms can bring policy purchase and servicing into a more integrated process instead of requiring businesses to manage multiple insurance products separately.
