Haridwar: Â In a significant step towards improving early child education, Ambuja Cements has inaugurated a model Anganwadi in Gee Saidpur, Haridwar district. This initiative aims to foster community health and enhance the learning experience for children in the region. The model Anganwadi is equipped with vibrant BaLA (Building as Learning Aid) murals and informative boards that promote education and health awareness, making learning engaging for children and their families.
This Anganwadi is the fourth of its kind established by Ambuja Cements in Uttarakhand, following similar projects in Daudbasi, Chhapur, and Lavva villages. The facility provides a safe and enriching environment for young children, featuring comfortable benches, desks, and growth measurement equipment like weighing scales and infant meters. A nutrition knowledge center and regular health screenings conducted by community health officers ensure a focus on preventive healthcare for both children and adults.
In addition to these educational and health benefits, the Anganwadi will host various monthly activities, such as birthday celebrations and Annaprashan ceremonies, fostering social and cultural engagement in the community. This project is expected to enhance both educational infrastructure and community well-being in rural Uttarakhand.
