Bengaluru: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a contract from Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (UPMRCL) for building a section of the Agra Metro. The project covers Phase 1, Line 2, which will connect Agra Cantonment to Kalindi Vihar.
The project includes a 15.09 km elevated track with 14 stations and a 2.61 km depot stretching from Sadar Bazar to PAC Depot. L&T will handle the design, construction, and essential station installations. With this metro expansion, UPMRCL aims to boost public transport options and improve city travel.
Set for a 30-month completion timeline, this metro line is a step toward reducing traffic and enhancing mobility in Agra. L&T brings its engineering expertise to tackle this significant project, which aligns with Agra’s broader urban transit plans.
UPMRCL’s metro project marks a major development in Agra’s public transport network, aiming to create a more connected and efficient urban environment.
