Gwalior: ITM University Gwalior has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zell Education, a finance and accounts ed-tech platform, to offer Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) certificates to its students. The partnership aims to establish a system wherein students enrolled in B.Com and BBA programs at the university can simultaneously pursue the ACCA certification. This course, set to commence with the 2024 batch, will offer students a unique opportunity to obtain a recognized accounting qualification alongside their undergraduate degrees.
The initiative provides a key advantage to students by exempting them from ACCA papers, saving more than 2 years of study time. The integration of ACCA within the academic curriculum is aimed at ensuring that students graduate with both academic knowledge and professional certification. This move is expected to enhance the employability of graduating students in the global job market. Under the partnership, Zell Education will provide its expertise in practical skill development to ITM Gwalior.
Prof. Yogesh Upadhyay, Vice-Chancellor of ITM University Gwalior, while highlighting the importance of the partnership, stated that the initiative with Zell Education will offer students an opportunity to gain globally recognized skills alongside their degrees. According to him, integrating ACCA certification within the university’s BBA and B.Com programs will equip learners to excel in finance and accounting worldwide. This partnership also aligns with ITM Gwalior’s vision of providing education that prepares students for a dynamic job market.
