Kolkata: The government of West Bengal has announced fresh postings for three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers from the 2023 batch. The appointments assign key roles to the officers in various districts of the state, reflecting their growing responsibilities in administrative governance.
Priyansha Garg, an IAS officer with a B.Tech in Computer Science from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, Delhi, has been appointed as the Executive Magistrate in Howrah. Prior to this, she served as the Assistant Magistrate and Assistant Collector in the same district. She secured All India Rank 31 in the UPSC Civil Service Examination (UPSC CSE)
IAS Avinash Kumar has been designated as the Executive Magistrate in Alipurduar. He previously held the position of Assistant Magistrate and Assistant Collector in Alipurduar, where he contributed to district administration and development initiatives. He secured All India Rank 17 in UPSC CSE.
IAS Suryabhan Achchhelal Yadav has assumed charge as the Executive Magistrate in Jalpaiguri. His last posting was as Assistant Magistrate and Assistant Collector in Jalpaiguri, where he worked closely on district-level administrative tasks. He secured All India Rank 27 in UPSC CSE.
These appointments are expected to bring a fresh perspective to the governance and development of their respective districts, leveraging the officers’ prior experiences and capabilities. The postings signify a step forward in empowering young administrators to take on critical roles in state administration.
