The Telangana government has let all Muslim employees leave their workplaces one hour early due to the month of Ramadan. According to directives from Telangana’s General Administration department, employees are permitted to leave the office at 4 pm from 2 March through 31 March 2025 (both days included).
Muslim teachers, contract workers, outsourcing workers, board members and public sector employees are all covered by the decrees.
Santhi Kumari, the Chief Secretary to the Government, signed the order, which states: “During the Holy Month of “RAMZAN,” which is from 2 March to 31 March 2025 (both days inclusive), the government hereby permits all government Muslim employees, teachers, contract/outsourcing employees, boards/corporations, and public sector employees working in the State to leave their offices/schools at 4 pm to offer necessary prayers, except when their presence is required.”
According to the notice, personnel must remain on site in case of emergencies.
In every month, Telangana government offices are closed on Sundays and the second Saturday.
According to the Telangana General Administration Department’s holiday announcement, any modifications to the dates of Idu’l Fitar, Idu’l Azha, Muharram, and Id-e-Milad due to the moon sight or any other holiday currently observed shall be publicized via print and electronic media.
