New Delhi: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has launched the Digital Brand Identity Manual (DBIM) today, marking a significant step in standardizing the digital presence of government entities.

This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of leveraging technology to enhance governance, ensuring improved accessibility, efficiency, and a citizen-friendly digital experience.
The DBIM’s primary objective is to create a unified and consistent digital brand for the Government of India. By standardizing design elements such as typography, colour palettes, and iconography, the manual enhances uniformity while reinforcing the integrity of government-hosted data.
This standardized approach extends beyond websites to cover mobile applications and social media platforms, ensuring a seamless user experience across all digital touchpoints.
The DBIM was officially unveiled at the First CIO Conference 2025 on 18 February at Taj Palace, New Delhi. The event has brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from MeitY, the National Informatics Centre (NIC), MyGov, and other government ministries.
Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology and Commerce & Industry, Jitin Prasada, along with Secretary MaitY S Krishnan and NIC Director General, Inder Pal Singh Sethi, launched DBIM, which focuses on introducing the framework that will guide digital branding across government platforms.
