Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh (UP) government has undertaken a fresh round of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers’ transfers, including IAS Shashank Chaudhary, across key departments to streamline administration and enhance governance.
The reshuffle includes the appointment of IAS Shashank Chaudhary (2017 batch) as the new Additional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Invest UP.
This appointment comes as IAS Prathmesh Kumar (2016 batch) has been relieved of the additional charge of CEO, Invest UP. He currently serves as the vice chairman of the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA). Kumar had assumed the Invest UP charge after the suspension of Abhishek Prakash in March 2025 over corruption allegations.
The two other transfers include:
- IAS Devyani (2011 batch) has been appointed the new CDO of Bareilly. She was previously serving as Joint Magistrate, Jhansi.
- IAS Jag Pravesh (2018 batch) has been transferred from the post of Chief Development Officer (CDO), Bareilly, to become the new Municipal Commissioner of Mathura.
These changes are part of the state’s ongoing strategy to boost efficiency and strengthen leadership in critical positions.
