Dehradun: The School of Computer Science (SoCS) at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) has announced a strategic collaboration with Salesforce.
The partnership between SoCS and UPES aims to launch a future-ready skilling initiative, the first-of-its-kind in Uttarakhand, to empower students with real-world, certification-backed learning opportunities in digital technologies.
Salesforce Day at UPES
To kick off this collaboration, UPES and Salesforce hosted Salesforce Day@UPES, centred around the theme ‘Talent. Purpose. Partners.- Co-Creating the Ecosystem of Tomorrow.’
The event brought together top Salesforce partners, including TCS, Wipro and IBM, all of whom will contribute strategic guidance, mentorship, and employment-focused skilling avenues through the Talent Hub.
Empowering Students Through Real-World Skilling
At the centre of the collaboration is a new Salesforce skilling hub at SoCS, UPES. This hub will deliver both free and paid Salesforce-certified courses, offering students in-demand skills in areas like AI-enabled CRM, low-code/no-code platforms, customer data platforms (CDP), and workflow automation.
Crucially, the initiative also emphasises faculty-industry engagement, ensuring that course content stays aligned with evolving technological needs. The hub will serve as a high-impact talent pipeline, linking students directly to career opportunities across Salesforce and its global ecosystem of partners.
