New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence PSU, has partnered with VVDN Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a leading electronics and product engineering firm, to co-develop and manufacture Wi-Fi and 5G-based networking subsystems.Â
The collaboration marks a significant step forward in strengthening India’s self-reliance in defence and communication technology. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed and exchanged between Manoj Jain, Chairman & Managing Director of BEL, and Vivek Bansal, Co-Founder and President of VVDN Technologies.
Key Focus Areas
The partnership will target several high-impact technology domains, including
- Wi-Fi and 5G-based networking subsystems
- Software and networking solutions
- Radar technologies
- Naval communication systems
- Applications for Indian Railways and other strategic sectors
This initiative aligns closely with the Indian government’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) vision, aiming to promote indigenous design, development and manufacturing in critical sectors.
Both companies expressed optimism that the MoU would serve as a model for successful public-private collaboration, accelerating innovation and commercialisation of advanced communication systems tailored to India’s strategic needs. The partnership is expected to play a pivotal role in bolstering the country’s technological sovereignty in defence and critical infrastructure.
