Bargur | Chennai: Delta Electronics India has inaugurated a new Centre of Excellence in Robotics and PLC at the Government College of Engineering Bargur, strengthening industry-academia collaboration in advanced manufacturing.
The facility is equipped with 6-axis articulated robots, SCARA robots, PLC training kits, integrated robot cells and smart automation systems, offering hands-on exposure to real-world industrial technologies.
The centre aims to provide structured, industry-aligned training in robotics, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and smart manufacturing systems.
Designed to address the growing demand for skilled talent in automation and Industry 4.0 environments, the initiative will help students and young professionals develop practical competencies aligned with evolving factory and production requirements.
The company said the Centre of Excellence is part of its broader effort to support skill development and technological capability in Tamil Nadu.
By bridging the gap between classroom learning and industrial application, the initiative is expected to boost employability and contribute to the state’s expanding industrial automation ecosystem.
