Chandigarh: In a key administrative move, the Haryana government has assigned additional responsibilities to IAS Shashvat Sangwan as part of an ongoing bureaucratic reshuffle.
Sangwan, who is currently serving as the Mission Director of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) in the state, will now also take charge as Director and Special Secretary of the Urban Local Bodies Department.
Alongside these roles, he has been given the additional responsibility of serving as Mission Director of the State Urban Livelihood Mission and the State Urban Development Authority. He replaces IAS officer Mukul Kumar (2011 batch), who is presently on election duty.
A 2022 batch officer of the Haryana cadre, Sangwan, has earlier served as a sub-divisional officer (Civil). The move is aimed at ensuring continuity in administrative functions and maintaining the pace of urban development initiatives across the state during the ongoing election period.
