Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh will set up the country’s first private 2G ethanol plant using bamboo as a renewable feedstock.
This will be a landmark step towards a greener and more prosperous future for the state. It could make Arunachal a leader in India’s clean energy transition.
The use of bamboo aligns with Arunachal’s abundant natural resources and commitment to sustainability.
The ethanol plant would promote eco-friendly industrialisation and open new economic opportunities for local communities.
Not just renewable energy, Arunachal has got the cabinet nod for a 700 MW Tato-II hydroelectric project in Shi Yomi district.
This plant will incur an investment of over Rs 8146 crore and will be completed in 72 months.
