New Delhi: Career247, the skilling and higher education arm of Adda Education, has adopted the IBM Career Education programme to expand access to structured technology training for learners across Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions in India. The collaboration introduces certification courses in generative AI, cybersecurity, full-stack development and data analytics, integrating IBM’s guided labs, industry-informed challenges and masterclasses. Learners will receive a joint IBM–Career247 certification on completion.
The initiative aims to improve access to practical, job-oriented digital skills for students outside major metropolitan areas. According to the organisations, the collaboration is designed to support first-generation professionals and aspirants preparing for roles in India’s growing digital workforce.
Bimaljeet Singh Bhasin, CEO – Skilling & Higher Education at Adda Education, said the partnership focuses on widening the availability of technology training aligned with industry requirements. Viswanath Ramaswamy, VP – Technology, IBM India & South Asia, noted that the programme is structured to familiarise learners with real-world use cases and hands-on problem-solving.
The move aligns with the increasing demand for talent in AI, data analytics and cybersecurity, as industries continue to advance digital adoption. Career247 expects the programme to train several thousand learners over the coming year, contributing to ongoing efforts to strengthen India’s skilling ecosystem in emerging technologies.
