Mumbai: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has appointed Dibyendu Dwijesh Sarkar as its new Chief General Manager (Renewable Energy).Â
Sarkar, who was serving as Project Head of Renewable Energy, will now lead the company’s growing clean energy portfolio.
This appointment highlights BPCL’s focus on expanding its renewable energy initiatives as part of its broader sustainability and energy transition goals. The company has been actively investing in solar and wind projects while aligning with national targets such as the Hydrogen Mission and reducing its carbon footprint.
Sarkar brings with him a strong technical and managerial background. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering, Nagpur, and a Diploma in Management Studies from Ramniranjan Anandilal Podar College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai. Over his career, he has taken on multiple roles in renewable energy and at BPCL’s Mumbai Refinery, contributing to administration, project execution, and maintenance.
With Sarkar’s appointment, BPCL expects to accelerate renewable energy projects, improve operational efficiencies, and drive innovation in clean energy solutions. Sarkar’s expertise in project management and technical leadership is expected to strengthen BPCL’s sustainability roadmap.
