Punjab Govt Transfers Two IAS Officers; IAS Sonali Giri Posted as Administrative Secretary, School Education

Chandigarh: In a minor administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government has transferred two Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. Accordingly, IAS Sonali Giri (2010 batch) has been appointed Administrative Secretary of the School Education Department.

Giri earlier served as the Managing Director of Punjab State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited (PUNSUP), while also holding additional charges as Administrative Secretary-cum-Director, Civil Aviation, and Administrative Secretary for School Education and Higher Education & Languages. She will continue to hold additional charge as Administrative Secretary, Higher Education & Languages, and Administrative Secretary-cum-Director, Civil Aviation.

Subsequently, IAS B. Srinivasan (2011 batch) has been appointed as the new Managing Director of PUNSUP, replacing Giri.

The reshuffle aims to strengthen governance in critical sectors such as education, civil aviation, food supply, and urban development in the state.
