New Delhi: In a major bureaucratic overhaul, the Delhi government has transferred 72 IAS officers. As per the official notification, IAS Santosh D. Vaidya (1998 batch) has been appointed as the Principal Secretary, Home.
Vaidya will also hold the additional charges of Principal Secretary (Finance/Planning), Principal Secretary (Industries), and Chairperson of the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC).
The list of other notable appointments includes
IAS Bipul Pathak (1992 batch) will continue as Additional Chief Secretary (Social Welfare). He will also retain additional charges as Director (UTCS) and Additional Chief Secretary (SC/ST/OBC). The move ensures continuity in crucial welfare portfolios.
IAS Sandeep Kumar (1997 batch) has been appointed as Principal Secretary (Vigilance) with the additional charge of Principal Secretary (AR), Principal Secretary (Services), and Chairman (DSSSB).
IAS Nikhil Kumar (2002 batch) has been made the Commissioner of Trade and Taxes. Earlier, he was holding the charge of Secretary of Health and Family Welfare.
IAS Pandurang K. Pole (2004 batch) has been shifted from the Higher Education and Education departments to the Secretary of the General Administration Department (GAD). He will also serve as Secretary-cum-Commissioner (Labour) and Secretary (Cooperation).
IAS Vijay Kumar Bidhuri (2005 batch) will continue as Secretary (Urban Development) and will also retain Environment & Forests department. He has also been appointed Chairman of the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC).
IAS Dr. Dilraj Kaur, Principal Secretary (Social Welfare), holding additional charge of Principal Secretary (SC/ST/OBC Welfare), has been removed of the charge and is currently awaiting a new posting.
IAS Nikhil Kumar, previously Secretary (Health & Family), Commissioner (Trade & Taxes), will now serve only as the Commissioner (Trade & Taxes)
IAS Neeraj Semwal, previously Secretary (Revenue)-cum- Divisional Commissioner holding additional charge of Secretary (Land & Building) and Secretary (Power), has now been appointed Secretary (Revenue)-cum-Divisional Commissioner with additional charge of Secretary (Power).
IAS Niraj Kumar (2010 batch), awaiting posting, has been named Special Secretary (SC/ST/OBC).
IAS Saloni Rai (2016 batch), former Deputy Commissioner of Udhampur, has been appointed Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate of North Delhi.
IAS Rupesh Kumar Thakur, previously the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board, has been appointed secretary, replacing IAS Nikhil Kumar, who has been appointed as the Commissioner.
IAS Sanjeev Ahuja (2011 batch), who recently joined the Delhi government, has been appointed secretary with additional charge of higher education and technical education.
IAS Neeraj Semwal, Revenue Secretary cum Divisional Commissioner, will hold additional charge of Secretary of the Power Department.
IAS Padma Jaiswal, awaiting posting, will serve as special secretary of the Administrative Reforms department.
IAS Sunny Kumar Singh, currently the District Magistrate, New Delhi, has been given the additional charge of special secretary power, a post left vacant after IAS Ravi Dadhich was transferred outside Delhi.
IAS Hari Kallikkat, awaiting posting, has been appointed the district magistrate of West Delhi.
IAS Vishakha Yadav will take charge of the district magistrate of Outer North Delhi.
