Jaipur: Senior IAS Alok Gupta has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Urban Development and Housing (UDH) Department in a recent administrative reshuffle in Rajasthan.
He has been relieved of his responsibilities as chairman of the Pollution Control Board. Alongside his new role, Gupta will also hold additional charges as Principal Secretary, UDH, and Chairman of the Housing Board.
Prior to this appointment, Gupta served as Principal Secretary in the Industries and Commerce Department, where he played a key role in driving industrial growth and policy initiatives in the state.
Gupta holds an M.Tech in Communication and Radar Engineering from IIT Delhi and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay. His strong technical background, combined with extensive administrative experience, is expected to contribute significantly to urban development and housing initiatives in Rajasthan.
